The Infantry impression
Following is a list of items required for an infantry
impression. We have prioritized this list for the benefit of the individual
without deep pockets.
 | Uniform - with a complete uniform, a reenactor can
actively participate in camp, and on the field. A complete uniform consists
of the following |
 | white muslin or cotton 3 button shirt |
 | sky blue wool trousers |
 | suspenders |
 | Federal blue Sack Coat, or NY State Shell Jacket |
 | Federal blue kepi or bummer (no piping) |
 | canteen with tan brown cover. |
 | Leathers |
 | cap box |
 | haversack |
 | cartridge box |
 | waist belt |
 | Brogans (shoes) - correct period footwear is required at
many events. |
 | Rifle - three banded 1853 Enfield, or 1861 Springfield. |
 | Miscellaneous items |
 | cartridge box belt with eagle breast plate |
 | bayonet with scabbard |
 | Infantry Great Coat |
 | wool blanket |
 | tin cup |
 | Tent - the 137th owns extra tents. These tents may be
utilized by new members until they can purchase their own. |
 | shelter half (military camps) |
 | A-frame (military or civilian camps) |
 | wall tent (civilian camps only) |
